Clinics & Services

As you will see below, many clinic appointments are for longer than our standard 10 minute slot.  For this reason, we often telephone patients the day before the appointment to remind them of the time so that these time slots are not wasted.  If you do not wish us to call you, please let us know and we will make a note against that particular appointment.

Travel Vaccinations

We offer a full range of travel vaccinations and travel health advice. Some of these services are offered privately as they are not available on the NHS and you may have to pay. Please complete a travel questionnaire before you travel. this can be obtained from the practice or downloaded from the library on the website. Some vaccination courses take a few weeks so please give us as much notice as possible.

The vaccinations you may require vary not just from country to country but also within a country so please be very specific about the areas you are visiting. The completed form needs to be returned for valuation at least 7 days before you make an appointment with a Practice Nurse. Some vaccinations need to be ordered in as required so if there is a payment to be made, this will be requested before vaccinations are given.

Prospective Medical Students

Drop Off and Parking

Patients are welcome to use the drop off bay outside the Primary Care Centre provided that their vehicle is removed as soon as possible to the main car park.

RESEARCH

The practice would like to thank all patients who have responded so positively to invitations to participate in research studies offered via the practice.  Research is vital to healthcare in terms of the way conditions are managed and drug development and is something which we are keen to support.  We realise and appreciate that participation is not for everyone and we do not mind if anyone refuses an invitation.

A&E Attendances

Did you know that many people turn up to casualty in Hexham and then simply decide they can't wait any longer?  In doing this patients trigger a charge of £59.
